the time has come

Mark Schultz has a song out right now that has hit home lately. It's called Love Has Come.

For anybody who has ever lost a loved one
And you feel like you had to let go too soon
I know it hurts to say goodbye
But don't you know it's just a matter of time 'til the tears are gonna end
You'll see him once again and in that moment

Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess
That God is love and love has come for us all
Every heart set free, everyone will see
That God is love and love has come for us all

It's been one week since I heard the news.

The news that a friend at church had given birth to her triplets just over 20 weeks along. I have thought a lot about what they are going through: the emotions, the thoughts, the what ifs, the dreams. Even though I can't find the right words to say to make them feel any better, she has actually made me realize some things.

Life doesn't stop after a loss. This is just part of life and we have to accept that God has a plan for us, even if it's not our plan. (I really needed this realization.)

When life gets tough, we don't have to hide it. I am not one to talk openly about things I am going through, but having a supportive church family can only be used if I am open to share what's going on in my life. She didn't have to share her babies with us, but she did. And they are so beautiful and precious. Thank you.

There is still joy to be found, even in a time like this. She is able to laugh and cherish the moments she has with her little boy. This gives me hope that when I am sulking about the situations I find myself in, I don't have to let that get me down. I need to realize that there is still great joy to be found in other things and I should thank God for what I do have.

The time has come to thank you friend, for being a great example.

Praise the Lord that He will return some day. And we will see our loved ones again.

Lord, come quickly.

new found love

He finally doesn't have to stare out the window and wonder what it's like to be outside.

But now that he has been out and about, he doesn't ever want to go inside.

I can't say I blame him, especially since he finds new toys to play with.

And new places to explore.

This is his permanent face when swinging. Toothless wonder no more.

what is due

After the frustration I expressed with the Great Value trash bags we bought a few months ago, I do have to give them credit for having excellent customer service. They wrote a great letter and sent two complimentary boxes of their new and improved product.

I didn't know that AJ had contacted them about this, well, until after he did it. So thank you Wal-Mart for responding so quickly and generously.

an intruder!

Can you see the little dot? It was an intruder and Ari was so curious!

What will he do with it?

SMASH-O!

I guess the intruder was not welcome. Poor little bug.
