10 Months

Where do I even begin!? Seems like he is just growing by leaps and bounds this month. Since Ari is now mobile, he is learning a new meaning for the word "no". Seems like that's all I say some days. He also gets upset if you say "ouch". Not sure where that one came from, but it's pretty cute. His food list is always expanding by giving him different things to try. Dog food even made the list! I can't say that was intentional. :) But other than that he's an eating machine. Most days I feel like half my day is just feeding the kid! I can't imagine when he is a teenager just eating me out of house and home. Another good reason to invest in some farm animals. Which is a complete different topic for another day. Here are some of his recent adventures.

Checking out the backyard...

He likes to swing this bat around and it will sometimes hit him in the head. Good thing its made of foam! Future baseball player?

Too cute not to post...

This is what happens when daddy plays with him...

I think they do it just to get my adrenaline going :)

Looking cute and innocent...

Opening the box with his feet...(which he knows he not supposed to get into.)

And of course...him feeding our dog. Which nobody is supposed to do! :) I think Annie has a new found love for Ari in his high chair! She also appreciates his food more than Ari appreciates dog food! Can't say I blame him there.

Looking cute and innocent again...

Surprise!

Ari's secret is out now...he is mobile!! Most of you probably knew that, but I liked keeping you in suspense for at least a moment or so. :)

Ari made his decision to crawl on Sunday, August 16th. I will remember this date for a while because AJ and I were pretty sure he was going to skip the whole crawling thing. This was such a shock! All he wanted to do before was pull up and stand...he wanted nothing to do with crawling!

He has already become quick and has found several things to get into. It is time to "officially" baby proof the house. Can't say there are many things out, but he has a fascination with power cords. Definitely a no, no!

His crawl is more of an army crawl. So I can't imagine how fast he will be when he has it down pat. He is such a stinker and found his way around pretty easily...even through the bottom of his exersaucer!

Ha! That smile gets me every time...

Fall Weather?

Did anyone else think fall was quickly approaching us this past weekend?! Although fall comes in a close second as far as favorite seasons go...I'm not ready to give up the warmer weather just yet. :) Despite the chilly weather, we still made it outside a few times to go for some really nice walks.

We had to put him in his Colts outfit since I don't think it will fit him by the time it is fall out. *tear*

Oh yeah...Ari has a secret to share...but that will just have to wait until next time!

A Few Days Off

AJ took a few days off last week so we could do some relaxing. Ari had his first trip to the fair on Thursday and had a great time. There was one minor melt down next to a cow who decided to breathe on him, but other than that it was great. Then we headed to the lake until Saturday night. Much more relaxing than the fair!

Petting a miniature donkey...

The dreaded cow! (Although much less scarier than the Chick-fil-a cow to some!)

A zebra?! Ok, not really. Just a horse...

Time to go swimmin...

Cheeeeeeeeese!

And down for the count after a busy weekend!

In memory of...

our special day, here are some pics that captured our memories two years ago from yesterday.

For special occasions, we used to get each other cards. AJ would get the card that hardly said anything and then he would write a book in it. I, on the other hand, would buy a card that said it all and just sign my name. Since my husband has put up with my antics for a while now, I must say a little something just for him. (I am a terrible communicator, if you haven't already guessed that by the way I write my posts!)

So here goes the something...Marrying my best friend has brought more joy to my life than I ever knew he could. It's funny how we are extremely different people than when we first met and fell in love...even different than on our wedding day, but that as we grow and change, it somehow just brings us closer. I can not attribute it to anything more than our relationship with Christ. Without Him in our life, leading it, our "outlook" on life would be very different. Even though it's been a mere two years, I cannot explain how He has transformed our hearts. We are both a work in progress (and have a very long way to go!), but at least we have each other to encourage one another. I am looking forward to what God has planned for us...but in the meantime I will celebrate what He has given us.

Thanks AJ for loving me...for letting me put the thermostat at 76 degrees all year long...for killing all the spiders...for letting me get Annie :)...and for working so hard so I can stay at home. I love you more than you'll ever know!
