Our Merry Christmas Weekend

AJ had Thursday off work and was extremely productive playing handyman all day. He fixed our dresser drawer, our clogged sink, and even helped me bake and cook (not that that needed any fixing at all!) :)

Ari was also a huge help. After mixing the ingredients for quite some time, he was ready to play in some bubbles.

Friday was extremely busy with getting things together for Christmas. AJ got off work early which inevitably saved me from forgetting to make potatoes for Christmas...just in time to make it to the Christmas Eve service at our church.

AJ's mom was the insurance policy for the baby in the manger...

And AJ's dad "was reading a book" according to Ari.

Ari on the other hand was playing with candles (not lit!) and clapped after every performance.

We then headed downtown for some dinner with AJ's family and my mom. We took a carriage ride then walked around the circle while it flurried.

Saturday morning we spent just the three (or four if you count baby) of us and then headed over to AJ's parents house.

We had to get a family photo of us in front of the Christmas tree. What? That's not a Christmas tree? Well it was for Pat and Jim. This plant has been overtaking this room for a while and there was no place for the normal tree. So Jim set out to get some decorations that would not weigh down the limbs. And successful he was. It was the best looking Christmas tree I had seen in a while.

This was an attempt at the end of a long Christmas day for AJ and I to finally get a picture of just us together. I thought our red walls were fitting.

Sunday evening we went to my mom's house and had another Christmas with my siblings and their family. I had to include this picture...that smile pretty much sums him up.

Sounds like an eventful weekend! You got a really good picture of "Jesus" Mine turned our really fuzzy. It was so sweet when I walked by you at church and Ari said "hi Sarah" after AJ said it. He's such a friendly little guy.

And I enjoyed watching Ari throughout the service. He cracked me up when he said, "Amen" after Gary had only said a couple of introductory sentences. He is SO cute!

It does sound wonderful especially the going downtown for dinner and the carriage ride (how did you not freeze?). So glad you had fun. When does Ari not smile?
